NEMC Joins PHA’s Nationwide CPR Campaign: Empowering First Responders Across the Country

Nueva Ecija Medical Center (NEMC) proudly took part in the Philippine Heart Association’s (PHA) Nationwide CPR Awareness Campaign held last July 17, 2025, joining hundreds of hospitals and emergency response units across the Philippines in promoting life-saving knowledge and readiness.

This year’s theme, "First Responder Team, Sa CPR Win na Win!", emphasized the crucial role of trained individuals in responding promptly and effectively during cardiac emergencies. As one of the recognized training facilities of the PHA, NEMC actively participated in the Mass CPR Training Event—a synchronized nationwide effort to educate and equip communities with hands-only CPR techniques.

Held at the NEMC premises, the event brought together a dynamic group of participants including hospital staff, allied medical professionals, and representatives from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP). Together, they underwent live demonstrations and hands-on simulations aimed at building confidence and accuracy in performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

A Commitment to Lifesaving Education

“Empowering individuals with basic life support skills is a key step in strengthening our emergency response chain,” said NEMC’s Training Officer. “With CPR, every second counts. This initiative allows our teams to act faster and smarter when lives are on the line.”

The campaign aligns with NEMC’s broader goal of community health education and preparedness, reinforcing its vision of being a responsive, trusted healthcare institution.

Pushing Forward for a Heart-Safe Nation

As heart-related incidents continue to be a major public health concern in the country, NEMC stands united with the PHA in advocating for a heart-safe Philippines, where more citizens are trained to save lives before medical help arrives.

Through continuous education and proactive participation in national campaigns like this, NEMC reaffirms its dedication to the health, safety, and empowerment of every Filipino.
