
In line with its continuing commitment to HIV awareness and community health, St. Aloysius Haven of Hope at Nueva Ecija Medical Center (NEMC) proudly offers Free Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) from November 2025 to January 2026. This initiative is part of NEMC’s effort to make HIV prevention accessible, stigma-free, and empowering for everyone.
What is PrEP?
Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) is a daily medication for individuals who are HIV-negative and want to reduce their risk of acquiring HIV. When taken consistently, PrEP can lower the risk of HIV from sexual contact or injection drug use by up to 99%. It is safe, effective, and recommended by both the Department of Health (DOH) and the World Health Organization (WHO) as a key prevention strategy.
